The opt-out of sale or sharing: what it applies to at nodu, and how it is honored on this site.
the short version
IRJG Ventures, Inc., the company that operates nodu, does not sell personal information, and does not sell or share sensitive personal information, in any circumstance.
One narrow kind of sharing does happen, and this page is how you opt out of it. The homepage of this site carries Meta's pixel, an advertising measurement tag, for visits from the United States. There it sends Meta two things: that the page was viewed, and that the App Store button was tapped, when it is. That lets Meta measure whether nodu's ads led people there and improve how those ads are delivered. Under California law, the identifiers and internet-activity information the pixel collects from the visit count as shared with Meta.
what is never sold or shared
No page of this site apart from the homepage carries a third-party ad pixel, the FAQ page and this one included, and no page of this site carries session-replay tools or behavioral analytics.
Nothing you share with nodu inside the app is ever sold, shared for advertising, or used to advertise to you: not intake answers, not journal text, not session content, and never consumer health data. Those commitments are unconditional, so they need no opt-out, and this page is not what protects them.
how the opt-out works here
Three things opt this browser out, and any one of them is enough: the button below, the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, and a Do Not Track signal. Browsers and browser extensions that support GPC or Do Not Track send them automatically, and some need them turned on in their privacy settings first. On this site they are honored by suppression at the point of collection: for a visit carrying any of them, Meta's pixel is not loaded, and nothing is sent to Meta.

The button saves one setting in this browser and nothing else, and nothing about pressing it is sent anywhere. It covers this browser on this device: clearing this site's data in the browser removes it, and another browser or device needs its own press. Whatever this browser's setting, the pixel never loads for a visit from outside the United States, or on any other page of this site.
